5 Books Your Toddler Needs

If you have been following my posts for a while, you would know I enjoy reading books! So this post has been a long time coming!

Our little ones are wonderful gifts from God, they are malleable and with the help of the Holy Spirit, our job as parents is to guide them through life. One way of doing this is by reading them books!

Here are 5 kinds of books I recommend:

1. THE BIBLE

It’s never too early to introduce devotionals to your kids. This could teach them how to pray and even develop their faith at a young age. We currently use- 365 Devotions for Kids.

2.DAILY AFFIRMATIONS

With the world trying to tell us who we are, imagine the hurdle our kids would have to pass through! So, it doesn’t hurt to start telling them who they are from a young age, this way, they do not accidentally start believing what others say about them.

Reading books to them about who they are in Christ at a young age will establish such a solid foundation by the Grace of God.

Here is my recommendation:

3. PERSEVERANCE

Most toddlers want things right away! And they could get upset when things don’t go their way. Even as an adult, I can relate with this! Reading books about perseverance could help teach your little one how to accept mistakes as they will surely happen. My son LOVES- The Boy Who Never Gave Up by Anthony Curcio.

4. BIBLE STORIES

In addition to the daily devotional I listed, another helpful resource are individual Bible Stories! I love reading these to my son because they all have their independent lessons to be learned! These short stories can be found at the Dollar Tree for $1.25!

5. ANIMAL BOOKS

Kids love to make different animal sounds! I find that reading to them the various animals that exist out there expands their knowledge and helps you know your child better! What is your child’s favourite animal sound? Comment below!

What are some of your child’s favourite books? Share them below!

Thanks for reading!

God Bless you Tremendously
